L'azienda agricola Casa dei Merli produce con metodo di coltivazione biologico dal 1978, grano e farina,
uva e vino, ortaggi e frutta e dal 2003 è anche un agriturismo.

vegetables and fruit and since 2003 is also a farmhouse.
FRUITS
Gli alberi da frutta del podere sono in parte presenti da prima del 1978 e in parte piantati negli anni a seguire. Abbiamo pere, mele, pruni, peschi, albicocchi, noci, noccioli e ciliegi.
The fruit trees of the farm are in part present since before 1978 and partly planted in the following years. We have pears, apples, plums, peaches, apricots, walnuts, hazels and cherries.
VEGETABLES
Il nostro orto produce pomodori, fagiolini, fagioli dell'occhio, zucchine, patate, cipolle, zucche, peperoni, insalata, bietole, prezzemolo, basilico e tante altre erbe aromatiche
Our garden produces tomatoes, string beans, eye beans, zucchini, potatoes, onions, pumpkins, peppers, salad, chard, parsley, basil and many other aromatic herbs.
WINE
Il vigneto della Casa dei Merli è attivo dagli anni 50. Nel tempo è stato conservato ed aiutato e oggi produce uve adatte per Bonarda, Barbera e Fruttana tra i vini rossi e Gutturnio e Monterosso tra i vini bianchi.
The vineyard of the Casa dei Merli is active since the 50s.
Over time it has been preserved and helped and today produces grapes suitable for Bonarda, Barbera and Fruttana among red wines and Gutturnio and Monterosso among white wines.
WHEAT, FLOUR ... AND BREAD!
Il grano coltivato alla Casa dei Merli è di varietà antiche, Apulia, Gold Corn e Autonomia. È macinato nell'ultimo mulino a pietra della zona e il pane prodotto ormai da 30 anni è cotto nel forno a legna e lievitato con pasta madre.
The wheat grown at the Casa dei Merli is of ancient varieties, Apulia, Gold Corn and Autonomy. It is ground in the last stone mill in the area and the bread produced for 30 years is baked in a wood oven and leavened with sourdough.
OLIVE AND OIL
Da 15 anni anche un piccolo uliveto ha trovato posto tra i vigneti, da circa 5 anni l'olio prodotto è arrivato anche in tavola. La produzione continua ad aumentare e speriamo presto di averne a sufficienza per tutto l'anno!
For 15 years even a small olive grove has found a place among the vineyards, for about 5 years the oil produced has also arrived at the table. The production continues to increase and we hope soon to have enough for the whole year!
